Qualifications of LSL Supervisory Personnel

Our supervisory personnel have had many years of experience in a variety of analytical disciplines. The present analytical staff includes chemists and biologists at Ph.D, MS, BS, and AAS levels of education with numerous years of applicable experience. New employees of LSL's laboratories are trained through a structured program that involves safety considerations, standard operating procedures, specific analytical techniques, and philosophies of method modifications and developments. Our organization believes strongly in the continual training of our employees and, as time allows, exposes them to training in alternate analytical areas from their specialty. All laboratory personnel are encouraged to actively participate in the process of improving the output of quality results in an efficient manner. Team work and corporate loyalty are prevalent in the positive attitudes of our employees. They are our strength.

Because of involvement in the analyses of food and solid waste (both difficult matrices) and in industrial consulting, the laboratory has maintained a reputation of conquering non-routine types of analysis. The staff is proficient in method modification and development, as well as in bringing documented methods into efficient realities. A number of methods for the analysis of nutritional components of foods have been developed in house and are in various stages of publication. LSL has also worked with one of the larger instrument manufacturers as a methods resource laboratory.
